18 Months

At 18 Months Jacob...

-weighs about 26lbs (56%)
-is 31 inches long (32%)
-holds up one finger if you ask him how old he is
-is not talking a lot, but understands a ton
-eats anything and everything
-loves bananans
-loves Llama Llama books and 10 little puppies
-sleeps 12-13 hours every night
-takes a 2-3 hour nap each day
-gives hugs and kisses
-loves his trucks
-likes to watch Baby Einstein, Cars and Nemo
-loves the bath
-knows all his body parts
-wears size 12-18 month clothes
-wears size 5-6 shoes
-hates getting his hair cut
-loves loves loves his toy vacuum
-loves imitating
-is very busy
-can sign several words
-is the cutest little boy EVER!

My first 5K!

I have always thought it would be cool to run a half marathon.  Now do you think I actually go the gym or even like to run?  I decided I needed to start somewhere and I signed up for a 5K. I thought if I signed up I might actually do it.  Well, I did!  I did the Greek Festival 5K.  It was actually a lot of fun and I finished a lot faster than I thought I would.  I did it by myself and I think next time it might be better with a buddy, but I am so glad I did it and I plan to do more and maybe even one day, a half marathon.  Miguel and Jacob waited for me at the finish line and took pictures.

A trip to the lake

We went to a lake up in Ogden (I don't know the name of it). Miguel BBQ'd some carne asada, which was delicious and we just hung out and played in the water. It was nice to get away fro a few hours and spend time together.  Besides being slightly tired I think Jacob had a good time too. Thanks Miguel for a fun day!

The Dentist

I took Jacob to Burg's Pediatric Dentistry for his first trip to the dentist.  Overall it went pretty well.  He was afraid to lay in the chair by himself so I layed and held him, but he let the hygenist clean his teeth and then he had fun with her playing with the water and air.  These are the only 2 pictures I got, but they're pretty cute.  Jacob's teeth look great and he LOVES brushing his teeth!

 We signed Jacob up for a Little Gym class this Spring.  He loved it!  On the last day they had a 'show' day where family and friends could come watch.

15 Months

It's hard to believe my little baby is already 15 months old! Where does the time go?  I love watching him grow and learn new things each and every day. He is so smart and is constantly surprising us. 

At 15 Months Jacob...

-weighs 24 lbs 7oz (48 %)

-is 30 inches long (25%)

-is walking

-claps after everything he does

-does not take a bottle anymore

-says ma ma and sometimes da da

-moo's like a cow

-barks like a dog

-points to what he wants

-loves bananas

-loves trucks

-enjoys reading books

-has about 10 teeth and some more on the way

-gives the best hugs and kisses

-likes to play at the park and in the pool

-can point to his ears, toes and hair

-can hold up one finger if you ask how old he is (sort of)

-likes to drop things

-likes to climb up onto chairs and rock

-can build legos by himself

-understands so much

-is so smart

-can drink out of a regular straw

-likes to brush his teeth

-gets into drawers and cuboards and tries to open doors

-is a good sleeper

-climbs up and down stairs by himself

-is the sweetest little boy ever!!!

Jacob's First Haircut

On May 20, 2011 Jacob got his FIRST haircut.  He did great!  I did have to bribe him with a graham cracker after a few minutes, but for the most part he was very good.

Anybody out there?

With the exception of the park post I haven't updated for a while.  I have several pictures I need to post as well as updates.  I'm just wondering...is anybody out there still reading my blog???

 We took advantage of the few nice days we had and went to the park. Jacob loved the swings!!  He was so happy!  I hope we can have many park days this summer.
