A Massage??

I have never had a massage before and I have been told over and over that it's something I really need to do. I've heard it's the best experience ever! Anybody that knows me knows that I hold all my stress in my shoulders, they are tense, painful and hard as rocks. In other words, my shoulders are very much in need of a massage.
I have had a rough week. It started on Monday, which are long days anyway. About 10am I started getting a migraine, I get blurry eyes and tingling fingers and I know the migraine is headed my direction...bad news!! I managed to keep it under control for the most part, but it lasted the whole week! I was stressed, tense, tired and in pain. I had two tests to study for and had to continue with my day to day activities with this miserable headache. By Thursday I had enough! I was having a hard time working and I just wanted to go home and sleep for 3 days!! I had been talking for a couple weeks about wanting to go and get a massage and now I was considering it more than ever. I didn't feel quite ready for the whole body massage, but I thought a neck and shoulder massage would be the perfect remedy for my tense shoulders and pounding head. My friends at work talked me into it and I left for lunch and got my much needed massage. Needless to say it was very nice and very much needed. It was so relaxing to just lay there for an hour and have my neck and shoulders massaged and I felt so much better afterwards. The headache was still faintly there, but my shoulders were much more relaxed and not painful at all. To make a long story short it's now Friday night and I feel great and I think the massage helped! If you have never had a massage I would highly recommened it. I am not sure I am ready to move on to the full body massage...maybe someday!

I have been wanting to get one for sometime. I heard you have to be careful though because if you don't drink enough water you can actually get sick because of all the toxins released into the blood stream when you get the massage. Maybe one day I will. I love the new background by the way. LOL

It's amazing what stress and tension can do to your body. I am glad that your "full on" migraine never came and that you are back to normal Jen again!
