Third time is a charm...

The results are in and I have failed the NCLEX for the second time. I am definitely not proud of this and am actually a little embarassed by it. For those of you that aren't nurses or have never taken this test, it is awful! It is all computerized and you could have anywhere from 75 to 265 questions, the computer just stops when it decides that you have passed or failed based on the questions you answer correctly. It's quite stressful and no fun at all!! I am sad, very sad that I have to keep studying and try again. When I first got my results I was devistated...how could I fail twice? How can all my classmates have jobs and I am still try to pass the damn test? How can this happen to me? Those were just a few of the thoughts I was having. It took me a few hours of pouting and one big hug from Jacob to realize that I am not going to give up. It's been a rough past few months with being in the hospital, bed rest, having Jacob in the hospital and then the adjustments of having a new baby at home. So, I am blaming my failures on the stresses that have been going on in my life. I would not change any of it! I have always been told my many that 'Everything Happens for a Reason' so whatever it is, there is a reason that I am supposed to take this test for a third time. I have been trying to decide what the best way is to go about preparing for this test again and I've decided I am going to create a study schedule and stick to it. Some say that studying doesn't even help for this test, but I know it's not going to hurt. I am going to review the info and do as many practice questions as I can. I have to wait a certain amount of days before I can take the test again, so it won't be in the immediate future. The date of my test will not be announced, I want to do this on my own and I'll let you know when I'm finished. I thank you all for your support. If anybody has any fabulous advice for the NCLEX, I am definitely open to anything. For now, I am going to stay positive and not give up. I CAN DO IT!!
